Collins Amateur Radio Club (CARC) is sponsored by Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The club is the hometown of Collins Radio. The club is of employees and retired Collins and spouses. The club has quarterly meetings. Club meetings are open to the public.  The club is involved in a variety of ham radio activities such as HF, Field Day, EME, and VHF/UHF. The club was started in March of 1983 as an official club of Collins Radio. Since then, the club has celebrated and continue to celebrate many achievements that Collins and Art Collins achieved in radio by sponsoring special events on the air. The club has two stations in Cedar Rapids W0CXX and N0CXX that club members can operate from. W0CXX is the call of Art Collins and is a prized QSL card. Collins Club members are actively supporting of Collins Museum working as museum docent’s giving tours. Many members have original Collins radio gear and like to get on the air.
