The Watauga Amateur Radio Club is a group based in Boone, North Carolina that focuses on making ham radio an interesting and exciting hobby for residents and visitors in the High Country.  We operate several repeaters and members are involved in contesting.  The club assists local emergency agencies and the Red Cross by providing back up communications and several members are actively involved in Auxcomm..  We periodically offer Technician License classes and our VE Team to offers license examinations monthly.
