The purpose of the Vilas Amateru Radio Club, Inc. is as follows:

To further the exchange of information, collaboration, cooperation between members of the amateur radio community, enhance individual operating knowledge and skills and promote and facilitate the recruitment of individuals into the Amateur Radio Service as licensed operators.

To serve the community by providing and supporting educational outreach in the areas of wireless communication and electronics.

To assist community and civic functions as volunteers by providing communications services.

To implement and support communications infrastructure to provide an additional level of emergency communications in the event of civil emergencies or natural disaster.
