Vienna Wireless Society, Inc., founded in 1963, is an educational, scientific, and non-profit corporation registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Vienna Wireless Society (VWS) encourages and promotes the development of skills and knowledge in the art and practice or radio communications and electronic technology and as a source of information that serves the public interest and welfare of the general public. VWS is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the national association for Amateur Radio in the United States. With a membership of over 300 members, VWS is the largest and most active Amateur Radio club in Northern Virginia. It is the “premier” radio club in Northern Virginia, with three main pillars: Operating Events, Technology and Education, and Public Service Emergency Communications. For more than 60 years, the men and women of VWS have been supporting the community of the Town of Vienna and Fairfax County Virginia with radio communications, the study of electronic technology, and the furtherance of the Amateur Radio hobby. Join Us at www.viennawireless.net
