The High Plains Amateur Radio Club first affiliated with the ARRL July 19, 1978 and has held many different activities over the years.  The Club has been an active participant in Field Day, a special event station at Fort Laramie Historical Site, provided communications for the MS 150 Bicycle fund raising event and are active in Emergency Communications in Goshen County.  The club also has entry level classes for the tech/general license.  Social events have included a summer picnic, a Christmas ham dinner, a Valentines Day dinner and impromptu Saturday breakfast meetings. The club recently held a Special Event Station at Fort Laramie Historical site to Honor Pioneer Women.
