The Chicago Suburban Radio Association has been serving the Amateur Radio community since they were founded in 1924.
We are celebtrating our 100 year anniversary in 2024 of serving the amateur radio community and are one of the oldest in the United States! CSRA has been affiliated with the American Radio Relay League for 90 years!
Since our humble beginnings, thousands of people, both hams and non-hams have been members of CSRA.
In addition to promoting the Amateur Radio service, CSRA members routinely provide 2-way communication for many community events and activities, such as marathon races, parades and festivals. Ham radio operators are also instrumental in providing emergency communications in times of disasters and public need. CSRA also puts on ham radio programs and demonstrations for civic, community and scouting organizations.
