Our formal name is Central Ohio Operators Klub Extra-Novice and you may hear us using the name COOKEN.  We host a weekly 6m COOKEN net each Thursday at 20:30 local time on 50.500.  All amateur operators are welcome to join and see/hear what's been COOKEN.

We hold a meeting every other month at the Alexandria Public Library in their public meeting room beginning at noon typically on the first or second Saturday.
The next meeting date is established during our meeting.  

We are a small close knit club that focuses on the technical side of ham radio, contesting and mentoring those that have technical interests beyond operating an HT radio.

We support our local repeater via NARA but choose to be involved in other activities beyond the repeater groups.

We have a special interest group that regularly participates in contesting and have taken several honors over the years with a small dedicated sub group we call the "animals"

You may hear us using various club callsigns. Our W8TNX callsign is used primarily for Special Event Station activities or contesting; WW8OH for Contest activities or Special Events; and, W8FD primarily for Field Day activities.
